I did do a few short aromatherapy courses and clary sage is good to stop smoking cravings. There was a huge thing in the course about if you have alcohol while using it as a massage oil it can cause hallucinations! But not to tell anyone likely to experiment as there are a lot of idiots out there lol. All essential oils can be toxic if used it too high a concentration so please! please! dilute and not use neat. It was a about 10 years ago i did the course so don't remember hearing about clary sage usage in pregnancy. The only thing i remember being told was when using essential oils in pregnancy its not recommended at all until labour. Lavender was thought the safest highly diluted. A lot of essential oils on the high street are not as pure as a aromatherapist would use so hopefully less harmful anyway.
