I don't know what to do anymore :/

For the past two days I been having lower back pains on and off... Right at the third day it got worse... It was on and off but when it would come on I had to stay in that position until it felt better like a minute later... It hurts so bad I can cry... This is my second baby and is def not the usual "back pains" I had with my first . So I called the advise after hours nurse and explained my problem... She advise to go to the emergency room . Well that felt like a waste of 4 hrs all they said is "it's normal, because ur pregnant" didn't check me or anything...

I was discharged and said to take Tylenol for the pain... Well Tylenol is not working . I literally can't even walk it hurts pretty bad... Is just on my right side of my lower Back..

No other symptoms thought , my baby is kicking everything else is perfectly fine... I don't get it!

Is it really this normal to be in this much pain and is only back pain...

I'm only 29w4d

Could it be your sciatic nerve? Its really common in pregnancy and after and can be excruciating. I had it after giving birth and one night when I had my son in my arms whilst by myself my back spasmd. I literally couldn't move so had to kinda roll and drop my son into his cot! The doctors would t do anything for me just said to try sit ups as it was probably weak stomach muscles!!!!!! He onviously didn't believe how much pain I was in coz there was no way I could do a sit up! For weeks I couldn't pick my son up off the floor, get down to change his nappy, put the car seat in the car an walking was just agony! Really hope you manage to get it sorted an that it eases off for you soon xx

sorry your getting pains like this hun... i find standing all day gives me terrible back pain but heat packs and the bath really helps. also i know its probably the last thing you'd think of but bouncing on a birthing ball/exercise ball really works wonders too cause it helps your pelvis into the right position and aligns your back!

but if you feel theres really something not right then go back into them and have them double check everything esp for uti's and kidney infections etc!

hope you feel better soon xxxx

Back pain is common in pregnancy.
I have a slipped disc, sciatica and a degenerative disease so I know what the pain feels like before I fell pregnant. But, if the pain is bad. Best thing to do, relax as much as possible. Get in to a position that's comfortable and take some pain medication if you need too!

I hope you feel better soon.
