No eviction plans but im also being induced 25th wich is my due date and i realy want her to come naturaly instead got a sweep next week if that dont work i may have to start trying alternitive methods lol

My induction date is my due date the 21st. I've had a sweep, tried sex tried everything i can think of and nothing. All mine bar one have been early and this is driving me nuts. So much pressure and sharp pains but nothing kicks in.

I was told sex twice within 8 hrs of one another is supposed to work? Xx

I asked my midwife for a sweep next appt 39weeks but was told she's not allowed to before 40weeks... Soo frustrating simply because it could mean the difference between induction or not... I will ask consultant when I see them tues but not sure they will do it if it hasn't been Pre-booked...

Lol! I've managed to secure every other day timetable with my DH; I think he'd go into shock if I tried it twice in 24hours!!!

Finding this last few days so frustrating. Twice I've been thinking 'this might be it' with what I thought was a loss of plug, period cramps and a clear-out, just for it all to fizzle out... I am sooo uncomfortable... So in 3days I've had a chilli con carne and 2 vindaloos, sex, continued my EPO and bounced on my ball. Today I think I may have to try the long walk and more cleaning (was hoping to aboid strenuous stuff as I already hurt and am swollen like a marshmallow). Ahhhhh!

Hate to admit this but I've sort of joined you by having a massive walk today - it was mostly to get rid of all the frustration I've had with all my starting-stopping, but I am secretly praying it did something, lol!

Lost count of the times I've had period pains, clearouts, plug in HUGE amounts, bloody show, regular tightenings with increasing pain every time they kick in....argh!!!

I think the only reason my midwife is giving me a sweep before 40 weeks is because of my GD im not alloud to go more than 48hours overdue so if my induction isnt sucessful ill have to have a csec so shes going to do 2 sweeps before induction they were reluctant to let me go all the way to my due date but baby is mesuring an ok size and shes allready fully engaged so they think she might turn up by herself x x x

i went swimming on Thursday night, the next day had a massive mucus plug loss and thought my waters had broke yesterday (but apparently thats not a concern for my hospital!)

maybe try some gentle exercise like swimming i plan to go again on monday wednesday and friday this week if nothign else its quite nice to be weightless at the moment Good luck xxx

I just thought I would paste what I just put in a thread about RLT...

"I started drinking this today. I saw a doctor at the antenatal clinic at the hospital and I was asking about things to hurry baby along and she burst my bubble with "sex, walking, pineapple, curry - all rubbish. there are only 2 things with evidence to show they work, and thats a sweep which you cant get until 40 weeks and raspberry leaf tea" i said oh :[ well surely its too late for me to take that now? she just said "every little helps. but take the tea not the tablets cus no one really knows why but it only really worked when steeped in hot water".

and from the packet im meant to have 3 cups a day! its gross. the 2 bags in one cup idea is fab! But i also find its not so bad if you make it with a normal fruit tea bag in the cup as well

sooooo yeah :/ I want my baby out asap however, I am totally of the mind that babies can be REAL stubborn so I'm just gonna carry on as normal and drink the tea and HOPE lol xxx

Hasn't worked for me yet

I've heard good things about sex (from my doctor LOL) but only if your cervix is favorable, and your dilating already. As the sperm can help soften the cervix but it needs to get behind the cervix or something. She explained it but cant remember. Guess she claims thats what put her in to labor at 37 weeks lol..
