Always a bloody show before labor starts?

Does everyone have a bloody show or even pink discharge before labor? I'm 37 weeks, having strong BH, leer back pain at times too. I'm 3cm dilated and 80%effaced. I feel like I may go into active labor soon, but no bloody show yet?

Some people loose it during the pushing stage, so no. Just like your waters don't need to go.

I lost mine when I was in active labor between 3-4cm.

Well, I'm pretty sure I lost my mucas plug, in pieces over about a week, but no blood with it.

Not everyone has a bloody show either, some do, some dont.

I didn't have any any bloody show and barely lost any mucus plug until I was 5cm and they broke my water.

So, are strong contractions really the ONLY way to tell if you are in labor? And, does anyone have lighter contractions?

I have mild contractions though im in slow labour still I guess. Period pains. No worse. I could believe it when the MW said that if that's all I'm feeling even after my waters going then they're real contractions. Early doors yet though I suppose. I lost no plug (yet?) but waters are gone so guessing it must be too? So no show for me?

Didn't have one with ether of mine. Just knew when waters went and pains started and gradually built up.

I didn't have a show until pushing, waters didn't go until then either!
