Hi

Well it's done, fingers crossed it works. I feel an emotional mess today, the obstetrician was talking about induction and why they do them. She said that going too far overdue raises the incidence of stillbirth. I just burst into tears and she was taking my BP at the time and it rocketed! What a wally. The lady was very sweet though! The sweep itself was a bit uncomfy but bearable-she stops when you've had enough, I held on as long as I could because the longer you can, the more chance there is of it working. I'm about 1-2cm dilated and my cervix is softening but has a little way to go.

My OH came with me and held my hand while it was being done

So anyway, just gotta wait! Induction booked for Wednesday 18th if no joy by then. I don't want that though as it means no birth centre

Thanks for all your support ladies, hope you're all well xx

No signs at all for me - I've given up trying to get her out today.
My friend just cancelled on me, so now I'm bored, fed up and I've run out of cleaning to do!

Ah hun, know what you mean, I'm back on the cleaning now...just de-crumbed and polished the toaster, now descaling the kettle! Hoovering next hen I may tackle the inside and top of the top kitchen cupboards... I did the lower ones the other day! Maybe you could go for a power walk? X

I hope this sweep works for you! I have a sweep at 41+2 next week and terrified it's going to do nothing at all.

I've had a 'day off' willing the baby to come as I seriously didn't want it to have a birthday of the 13th. But now that we're getting into the evening, I'm back to obsessing! I really want to have this baby now...

Fab! That's what I like to hear! Were you dilated at all when they did it? And how did you feel after? Sorry for all the questions! X

I was 2cm when they did it. She did rummage around in there for quite a while though.

I felt fine - started cramping about 6 hours later. Fingers crossed for you.
