How do you work it out? Someone asked me how many months I was the other day and I have to say, I was a bit stumped! lol

monday. since most people say 1 month is 4 weeks when in fact it is usually a few days more. but going by 4 weeks in a month you would be 7 months at 28 weeks because your actually pregnant for 10 months (40 weeks)

I'd say you are 7 months on 9th May, but you can count it either way and neither way is wrong. I agree it is confusing. I find that the easiest thing to do when someone asks is to say "I'm x weeks, due the xth week of month", which for me today is "I'm 32 weeks, due the 1st week of June". That seems to satisfy most people, they're only politely enquiring and don't really care that much most of the time.

Well i was 7months last week at 31weeks so you still have a few weeks to go.
i dont count it every 4 weeks i count it the 7th every month (im due 7th june) im another month, as im due in 2 months now that makes me 7months.

so if you count it like me you would have juct turned 6months and be 7months on 9th may.

people see pregnancy lasting at 9months so if you were to say im 9months for example people would think you were due now and not in a months time.

if it confuses you just say how many weeks you are or have left.

I think for calendar months the NHS classes pregnancy as 9 months and 7 days long. So if you count back two months (by date, not week) and 7 days, then that's roughly when you're 7 months. I think! So it's about 31 weeks.

If you're counting a 4 weekly month then pregnancy is much longer than you think

You are in your 7th month. You haven't finished the 7th month yet so you can't say you are 7 full months just yet. Just tell them you're in your 7th month.
