Braxton Hicks.. Is this normal?

Basically, I've only had BH twice before and they were roughly a week apart. Today I was walking uphill with my OH to go to his mum's and all of a sudden I could not go on (not good walking up hill right now anyway but I had to stop for a minute) as I had BH and they were stronger than I have had before (not sore, just waaay tighter and more uncomfy) this was about 12:30pm and around 2:30-3:00pm roughly I had some more, and I felt very slight cramping for a few seconds

Is it normal to have them that often? And with the crampy feeling?

Thanks

Yes! I get it all the time, especially when walking. Pain in lower regions, belly and back.. it usually goes when I sit down and relax!

Don't worry too much

You generally panic because people say BH are painless and just tightening. Well I find they do hurt! Especially when the baby is engaged!

If you do get the pain, best thing to do (When walking) is to stop and sit down if you can, have a drink of water if you have a bottle of it on you and take some deep breaths..

I know how you feel..

it happens to me all the time too, i am in my 35th week and it happens more when i am cooking or straining in someway, even while exercising and during a shower!!! the stomach tightens and its super uncomfortable but they are very normal unless its accompanied by pain which does not subside... so do not worry!

All I seem to drink is water and I hate the stuff! It does help though.

If you do worry about the pain and tightenings, my Mum suggested to me just timing and jotting it down.. if they get longer, stronger and more painful then you know it's time.

I hate it too! It's like I can feel it sloshing about in my belly
Yeah, hopefully won't have to do that for a few weeks yet though!
