I was scheduled to be induced the morning of April 12th at 6am...however the night before my waters suddenly broke at 10:30 pm (it felt like I was peeing myself lol)....so I called the hospital and they told me to come in...my contractions started on the way to the hospital...they were 5-7 minutes apart from the beginning and just felt like strong period pains...

We got to the hospital around 11:15 and they confirmed my waters broke, so they hooked me up to the moniters and gave me an IV to keep me hydrated. I was then contracting every 3-4 minutes. The pains got a lot worse and I tried sitting on a birthing ball to help, but it didnt so I was standing up holding on to the rail of the bed during every one of them...I was trying to breathe deep breaths, which did help, but I was still moaning like a wild animal lol anyway after about 4 hours of contracting I was begging for an epidural...but there were none at the hospital and the nurse said she wouldnt call one until I was at least 4cm..so she checked me and I was 4cm...so she called one and he said he was on his way...

About 30 minutes after she had called him, I was standing up having some really painful contractions and I suddenly had IMMENSE pressure...I yelled to my husband to go get the nurse because I felt like I needed to push! So the nurse comes in and is reluctant about checking me since it had only been 30 minutes but I begged her to check and when she did I was 9cm! So no epidural for me lol...5 minutes later my body started pushing on its own and I was screaming "I NEED TO PUSH!" so again the nurse ran in and looked under the sheet and she could see the baby's head...so she ran to get the midwife. My body literally started pushing on its own...it was crazy. The midwife came in and I immediately started pushing...Caiden was born about 10 pushes later at 5:50am with a head full of dark hair like his momma! Oh and I was yelling "I DONT WANT TO FEEL THE RING OF FIRE!" the whole time , but I actually didn't feel the burning at all...just pressure...I also had to get an episiotomy to get his head out because it kept going back in. He came out screaming though, and he is perfect (:

We are both recovering well, and he is breastfeeding very very well too. We get to go home tomorrow!

Congrats! I knew you would do just fine. Crazy you went from 4 to 9 cm in a half hour!! Gorgeous little boy !! How much did he weigh and how long was he??
