Everyone hates my baby name :'-(

Really thinking of whether I should pick something else.
The name we have picked is Kari ( said car-e not carrie) and all of my family apart from my sister hate it. It's either stupid jokes made about it or just plain outright saying wtf?!
One comment was Kari instead of lorry? Which they found hysterical and then said oh jeez let hope your baby isn't really a girl then

Honestly do u think I should change it?

This is your child, not theirs! If you are happy with the name - keep it!

I went to school with a girl called Kari and the lorry thing never even occurred to me! I say if it's what you want then go for it!

I understand how you feel, I mean everyone wants to name my baby and keep suggesting things. So, I've not told anyone her name that me and OH picked (obviously people here know it..) but Family don't. I am keeping it like that until she's born. When they hold her and say her name it will be right.

It's a beautiful name you picked, btw.

It's a nice name x

My friend named her child Arelie (pronounced a re lee) and she got so many bad comments!! But she stuck with it and everyone has accepted it now x

Your right once the baby was there and they heard the name maybe it would be ok x

Ignore them. I get the same from DH family. They keep singing um-bre-lla-ella-ella-ella! I HATE them doing it. I could easily slap them when they do it! Grrrr
