Arghhh mothercare!

We ordered our pram and nursery furniture on 2nd Jan with mothercare and as we didn't want it in the house we got it on babyplan (paid in full tho) to be delivered 30th March. 1 week before delivery is due get a call saying the draws are out of stock so they will be delivered on 10th April. Hmmm no they won't I'm working so is OH and nobody to wait in for them so they agreed to deliver today. 30th March w sat waiting for delivery van turns up about 10.30am brilliant can get some of the furniture up but oh no there was only half the cotbed and half a wardrobe but pram was all there. I spend 30 mins on phone to customer services to be told the delivery had been split and it could come sometime that day or on Saturday! When I explained that I had no phone call to explain any of this all I got was 'all we do is pass your order on to the delivery company it's not our fault' well yes it is Mothercare chose to use that delivery firm! So other half of cotbed and wardrobe turn up on the Saturday so we start to unpack it and put them together only to notice the wardrobe doors all chipped back on the phone had the usual oh we are sorry we will get another set of doors dispatched to you. So they were meant to come today with the draws, draws have turned up but no doors! I've now been on the phone for 45+ mins trying to find out where they are and apparently they will be here today but they are on a different delivery route!

What is that all about! The service has been rubbish and the quality of the furniture is not the standard we expected (granted we got it half price in the sale but it should have been £1200 and is now on sale at that price)

Sorry for the rant just very annoyed!

Thanks, if the doors don't arrive today the lot is going back and I want a full refund! I'm sure they know that people will just keep the furniture because they are close to their due dates x

I would put together a very strong worded letter of complaint to the head office detailing everything since you paid in full back in January, it's is unwholly unacceptable to spend that much money and not have the customer service to go with it. The time, stress and money that you have put into dealing with Mothercare so far is ridiculous, you just don't need, so yes, get complaining!

I saw on the news that they're in financial trouble ... Which is no wonder if they have such crappy customer care!!

Leave them a complaint on their facebook page. They will answer very very quickly and you should expect a call from their customer care team (who were very helpful with me) within 24 hours. They dont want other people who like their page on FB being put off by customers complaining so they are very attentive. If I were you I would request a substantial discount.

Some of these companies really annoy me. Only one that has been good is Kiddicare.com

KIDDISAVE have been absolutely appauling. They take payment for goods they don't have, send you faulty/ used items, say they are going to send you another then don't. Their staff are terrible too and take ages to get back to you if at all. I am now left with part of a travel system and can't get the rest until after baby will be born as it's out of stock everywhere. I am disgusted with the service and waiting to hear if I can get a refund on other items I bought from them.
