Where'd you buy it online? I need to get some!

To everyone who has used it - How long would you say a tube lasts? xo

In the early days a tube lasted us 3 weeks but it does depend how sore you are/how often baby feeds. A little goes a long way but my nips were shredded (he'd vomit blood of mine he'd swallowed while feeding) and he cluster fed so was on off the boob for around 6 hrs each evening non stop.

We didn't last very long (unrelated to the issues above - I got very sick with tonsilitis and just couldn't manage to feed while so ill) but I'd imagine that as your nips toughen up and you get a better latch and feeding position etc and teh cluster feeding dies down a tube would last a LOT longer

Oh and I bought mine in Sainos and boots. Mothercare sell it too xx

Oh god, that sounds horrendous!! Are you trying BF'ng again? Don't know if I'd be brave enough. I know it's silly but not being able to bf is one of my biggest fears cos I know I'd beat myself up. Hope I can but I'm rubbish with pain!! xo

Yeah, I want to give it another shot. I won't lie I felt awful about giving up with Fin until he turned 1 and I finally felt able to let go of the guilt of giving up. I mean at the time I felt I had no choice but once the choice was made I always felt I could have and SHOULD have tried harder to keep at it you know?

So I'm not putting any pressure on this time but I'm hopeful I can last longer this time really. I know now that it was a really poor latch that allowed my nipples to get so bad so I'm gonna seek more help and don;t aim to leave the hospital until I;m confident I can get a good latch myself etc to hopefully avoid that problem.

I;m sure you will be fine - I know women who's had almost painless experiences and loved every moment and you may well be one of those so please don;t let my story put you off xxx

I've used mine about 3 times in the past 2 and a half years. It's presumably out of date now! It really does depend on how you get on with nursing.

You should never beat yourself up! If you've tried to the point where you did then you've obviously tried your hardest plus more! Just need to take my own advice if I don't get on with BF'ing. A lot of ladies have said that BF support is one of the main things so I'll be asking a million and one questions before I leave the hospital to make sure I've covered my bases haha xoxo

I have been using lansiloh all my life - but on my lips!! This stuff is amazing for cracked, dry chapped lips. My mum used it on me as a kid and i've grown up with it. Then I discovered it was for nipples too, I was cheering!

Amazing stuff... There are different size tubes, I remember having some that lasted years at one point putting it on my lips morning and night xoxo

I'm going through this right now, it's awful! Seems impossible for my nipples to heal while she's constantly feeding. She hasn't thrown up blood in a few days thank goodness, but she was at first. Scared the crap out of me the first time.

The cream is amazing though, if she goes more than an hour or two between feeds I can already notice an improvement. I've been using a little sample package since the beginning and still have some, you really don't need to use a lot. Once you rub it between your fingers for a bit and it softens up, a little bit is more than enough.

I am glad I read this, so I don't panic when I finally go to use mine!
