Lansinoh Nipple Cream Query

I bought some online and just wanted to check if its meant to be really thick to the point where it doesnt come out the tube very easily?? Its like really really thick petroleum jelly. Is that right or have I got a dodgy batch?? x

No, that's right. You often need to keep it warm to get it going. I found sitting on the tube for a while was helpful! You'll only need tiny amounts at a time.

Yup that's right!! I put a little on my finger and rub inbetween my fingers to get it warmed up a little. Its very thick because its a barrier to protect the nipples...it was a LIFESAVER for me when I first started breastfeeding my son...my nipples were cracked and bleeding at first...but within a week it was fine...so the cream helped a lot...and the good thing is you can breastfeed with it on!

This got me too! I would put it down the front of my pants while I BFed so that it would be pliable enough after DD had finished

hehe I wondered that when I got it too, its more like a wax than a cream isn't it! Not what I was expecting but has given me instant relief from sore nipples at points randomly! Not looking forward to sore nipples when feeding! x

Yes its supposed to be thick. What I did was put it in hot water for awhile to thin it out then I put it in a little jar so it is easier to get out! It thickened right back up when it cooled down.

Yup. Sit on it while you feed so it's warmed for when you apply after or pop on the radiator for a moment or so xx
