Someone asked me if I knew what I was having yet & I said "I'm hoping for a giraffe... they can walk after half and hour & feed themselves" I just got a shocked look and a tut in return, like I was serious or something & was going to be a terrible mother wishing for a giraffe instead!! Sheeesh what happened to a sense of humour!

xx

Someone rubbed my belly the other day and said "you've gotta stop eating the pies fatty", so I rubbed hers back and said "what's your excuse then?". Mean I know, but not a fan of being called fatty!!

Oh I love this thread!!! I am soo annoyed with all the stupid comments.

Why does everyone feel the need to comment on my body now that I'm pregnant?? I hear comments about my face being rounder, swollen, puffy... or "You've got that pregnant face"..... Someone the other day said... I thought you were pregnant the other day because your face looked so swollen but I couldn't ever get a good look at your belly.... WTF?

And then I have to hear about how I waddle.. "You look like a little duck, waddle waddle"
I want to say screw you!! And then they comment on how i grunt when I bend over to pick something up, and how swollen my hands are, and how I look out of breath, and how much I eat, or don't eat, or what I eat....

People would not say these things to non-pregnant women... Drives me nuts!!!

Lol I got the pregnant face comment from a friend who is herself 37 weeks pregnant, she finished off with "maybe I don't look that way because I always wear make up"

Keep in mind I've been in hospital with suspected pre eclampsia (turns out it wasn't thankfully, but I have to be careful as I'm showing early signs of it)

I usually just laugh it off but there has been times I'm not in the best of moods and it just makes my mood worse lol.

Wow some of the comments you ladies have had off people I don't blame you for being mad like the 'fatty and waddle comment'. I have to admit though I haven't had many comments off people but I like it when people do ask about my pregnancy. I don't mind people touching my belly or asking when I'm due or how long is left, what I'm having etc I think it's nice that they are showing an interest. Me and my OH just went to the shop and the assistant asked all those questions along with are you excited wait til the might feeds etc etc and she even said I look small considering how far along i am (which I dont think i do) but it didn't bother me at all. I find it nice to have an excuse to talk about baby with anyone lol xx
