My LO changes her kicking patterns every couple of days. It is very hard for me to determined whether she's moving less or not (although, every couple of weeks she has a few very active days).

So, when in doubt, I lay down and start poking her. She ALWAYS responds by moving around and giving me a few good kicks, and I feel better.

Some babies have very determined patterns, others (like mine) decide to change what they do all the time.

My MW told me that if I am very concerned, I should eat/drink something with calories, lay down and make sure I feel her at least 3 times within the hour. If I do, everything is ok.

Hope that help

You never know! Although I don't believe the carrying one! I don't mind any more, before I had my heart set on boy, but I'm happy as long as my baby is happy & healthy x
