31 weeks today, getting nervous for labor

we had our tour at the hospital today of the Family Birth Center....it's gorgeous and very welcoming (I've been in twice for monitoring already) and they gave us the rundown on how things work and etc.....

i started to have a really nervous moment thinking about labor. I know i want to go med free if possible and if anything i don't want narcotics or anything in the IV, i would probably go with the epidural. they have some rooms with jacuzzi tubs for people who are planning unmedicated but it's first come first serve...I know taking a bath would probably help me calm down and get thru the pain (I always take a bath for any kind of discomfort) but i'm afraid they won't have a tub room available when we get there!

just first time jitters I guess. My sister just had her baby like 5 weeks ago and it was not a good experience, the whole thing was very scary for her and she was really unhappy with it. this was at a completely different hospital though.....

Completely normal to feel nervous seeing how close you are. Unfortunately, births don't always go as planned/hoped, although that would be lovely if they did (I know mine didn't turn out they way I planned...lol). Sorry to hear about your sister's experience. But in the end, the main important thing is having a healthy baby in your arms. I hope you have an easy labor and you get a tub if you so desire. Good luck!!
