So we're a while off this at the moment but I'm debating with my partner whether we should get one. I would like one because I just think it would be so exciting to see the baby that clearly. I also love the idea of having a DVD to take home with us. I've found somewhere in Leeds we can have one done for £100 which seems fairly reasonable in comparison to some places. However my partner is wanting to save the money and spend it on something else. He doesn't see the attraction at all.
What's not helping is everyone we mention this to says "oh they all look the same" in regard to the pictures you get.
I was wondering, if any ladies on here have had a 4D scan and you don't mind posting the pictures here, could you please? I'd like to be able to show my partner more of what we'll get and hopefully bring him around to my way of thinking.
Also please say whether or not you were satisfied with the scan. Was it worth the money? Did you wish you hadn't bothered? Really want to hear some experiences.
Hey there, we found out the gender at 16wks and had a 4d preview done too. It was amazing, so good as a treat my mum booked us in at a private place for 27 weeks where we had a 4d scan done and it was amazing. We got confirmation we are having a boy and the pics were so clear. The DVD is a great lil souvenier to keep to remind you of your pregnancy and it was a great experience.
These are a couple of my best piccies (first one at 16 weeks the rest was at 27 )
I am just posting so I can find this post later to put my pics on for you.
In my opinion it was amazing! Worth every penny and more! The pictures are amazing and the DVD is just so special! It made it all seem that much more real and got us even more excited! I would always recommend them to anyone, you will never get that moment back xx
I have had 2 4D scans, one at 16 weeks and one at 29 weeks. My last one was amazing because she was so developed, she is like a little doll!
It is unreal how much more close it makes you feel to them. It made OH cry! We got a DVD too, which is amazing. I would put it on here but I only have a netbook which doesn't have a disc drive so I can't copy it but here are some pics..
She slept through the whole scan apart from opening her eyes once and playing with her toes, she looked so tired bless her then promptly went back to sleep lol.
i had one done at 16+4 to find out the gender, also had a 4d preview aswell..she was small though so couldnt really get any good pics (first one is 16+4) i had a proper 4d one when i was 26+4 and it was really good! i loved it (rest of the pictures are 26+4) xx
I had my 4D scan at 29+4 and it was amazing, I got the DVD and a memory stick with about 50 pictures on it plus the print outs, DH has said that it makes it a lot more real for him as he can actually see a baby and not some weird black and white image.
I think it really depends on how cooperative your baby is. I paid for a 3D/4D scan at 28 weeks and it was a total waste of money - they couldn't get a single 3D shot of LO's face, despite trying for a half hour.
Then at my 36 week growth scan they managed to take a peek (see my avatar pic) and it was very cool. She was asleep with her hand over her face the whole time, though, so I really only got one pic out of it. I don't know if I would've wanted to pay for that either.
