When did you start seeing your OB every week?

I had my 33 week appt today,

(my doctor is a little Odd, he's Very good, but always rushing and hard to talk to)

All I understood was,
-My belly measures 35 and 1/2
-My cervix is "Low" but still closed
-And I need to come every week now for an appt and a non-stress test

?

Isnt 33 weeks a little early to start weekly?

I start at 36 weeks..since hes always a busy bee, sometimes you can ask the nurses too look over your paperwork and make sure its right, they ALWAYS have to double check paper work with the doctor so maybe they can slow him down to have him look at it. It just depends, maybe hes extra dedicated, and thats why hes so busy.. i dunno. But mine begin at 36 weeks...which i guess techically 35 since i go then, then again at 36..ect.

I'm sure he would have said something if it was.

and today the office was CRAZY busy!

I was suppose to start with my first at 36 weeks (but she came before I really started going every week). I think thats usually when you start going every week though. Every doc and pregnancy is different though

Do you think its because my cervix is "low" ?
because last time he checked it, it felt like he had to shove his whole hand up there!
Today it didnt even hurt.

Is a low cervix normal at 33 weeks?

Its usually 36 weeks where I go, but I started doing weekly non-stress tests and biophysical profiles at 32 weeks. My actual checkup appointments are still bi-weekly, but if they feel anything is even a little off, they'll want to see you more often. The reason I go so often is because of a two vessel cord.

I started going every week by 35 weeks. My doctor doesn't really tell me much either, but I don't mind it because I know if something was wrong she would tell me right away which is all I really care to know.
