Just been diagnosed with PSD :(

Hi Ladies

Just wanted to post as this is supposed to affect 1 in 4 pregnant women at different levels and wouldnt want you ladies going around thinking it was normal with pregnancy when you are in as much pain as me and it can be helped.

Basically I went to doctor with extreme pain when walking from sitting down and turning over in bed
Its affects my upper inner legs, pubic region, pelvis, hips etc.
He has diagnosed pubic symphasis which basically is ...

Your pelvis in made up in the middle of a jelly like material, in pregnancy this softens along with the aid of hormones ready for birth however, in some case (mine) it softens to much and under the weight of the baby your pelvic bones grind together.

I have been referred for specialised physio and advised to take paracetamol (sorry but refuse drugs while pregnant not comfortable with it)
I now await my 1st appointment and hope this helps as it only gets worse the further on you go.

Sorry to go on just feeling a bit sorry for myself hehe and wanted to give you ladies some info :flower:

Mines is made about 10 times worse from walking yes but dont have to have walked anywhere really for it to hurt, could be sat down most of the evening and get up to go to bed and legs nearly give way under the pain

Got the race for life as well in a few weeks!!!! determined to complete it still
