photographers when you have a low budget.

Would you hire one? Our budget is £2,000 and photographers seem to be around £300, so would be a fair chunk.

phone a couple and explain, see if anyone can just do a couple of hours so you have a few pro pictures of you in your dress with hubby and some group shots

I do this for people for around 50 - but i only charge 150 a day and i dont make any prints.

I would definitely get a shoot even if its literally half an hour, you want one awesome shot of you in your dress to remember x

I would - photos are the long lasting memories of the day, they are #1 importance to me - id happily get married in a field, wearing a binbag, but there would have to mementoes of the day! x

we are on a tight budget too, but we have a photographer we got a great deal with because she is the one that does all of our family photos :)

i would just phone around and see what you can find :)

Ring your local collage and ask if any photography students that want the experience. Some might even do it for free if you let them use it in there portfolio

you could get someone to come out for an hour for the service and then a few pics after and ask them to pop them on a disc but ask everyone to bring a camera and get snapping too x

A photographer was a must for me (plus I gave 2 video cameras and my camera to family to get photos). I only have the photos from my camera now, but did want pictures of the day. (I should get the photographers any day now.) I paid $500 for the photographer. I couldn't imagine not having any pictures.

We have one who is coming to the regsitry office when having a gap then at the reception for an hour all photos on disk for £125!

Another good idea is to put blank cds in SAE envelopes on the tables and ask your guests to put there photos on to them and post them back to you :)
