Cant get the hand of these kegels! Im doing it all wrong Im having trouble with these. In the book it says that if your stomach or butt clenches/tenses then you're doing it wrong. Well Im doing it wrong. Both butt and belly are tensing. How on earth are you meant to do it properly?? |
When you butt and stomach does that it means your trying to hard. I know this soudns weird but next time your going pee pinch your pee off using your muscles. That is a kegel. :) Thats how i learned to do it properly. :) |
Thank you so much. I was actually starting to ache doing it right, that sounds much more managable :) x |
When I do it my butt does clench too. My stomach doesnt move though. Can you do them sitting down? I havent been doing them at all but I was out with a friend for lunch today who deals with prolapses and he (unintentionally) scared the shit out of me!! |
Lol, prolapses, nice, ha ha. I just tried during a pee, sorry tmi, and think i have got it. Need to work on it a bit more off the loo though! Find im tensing more when sitting so maybe standing is a stating point. X |
:) |
Once you get the hang of it you could try this routine, it's what I do and I can really tell the difference in my kegel muscles. beginner kegels: 20 kegels in a sets of 3, morning, noon and night intermediate: 10 kegels held for 20 seconds each in sets of 3, morning, noon and night advanced: same as intermediate but with each kegel you should be able to make the kegel start light, then medium, then strong intensity(grip) if that makes sense. |
Ooo, thanks for that. I will definately do that. Im finding holding hard at the mo, it just sort of lets go without me even realising it. Im a bit late in starting so must catch up :) x |
It's hard to hold them for any amount of time until they are strong enough. When I first started trying to hold them I'd count soo fast to try and get to 20 seconds lol |
Ha ha, righto, need to stregnthen them a bit first then :) I keep trying when Im peeing cos its the only way I know Im doing it right lol :) x |
