ladies with pcos

When I got pregnant with my son the only thing I did different is I gage up all processed sugar for a month.

So with that in mind im going to give up all processed sugar sweets, fizzy, chocolate, and white bread pasta etc. Today is day 2 for me I planning to stick to it for 40 days. Anyone else want to join in id really appreciate a buddy to go through it with. And I know it makes a big difference to us ladies with pcos!

Hi Hun I recently got diagnosed with PCOS we've been trying for #3 for 17months now since being diagnosed I've been taking vitex and cut down on my sugar intake a whole lot although struggling with those naughty chocolate bars that keep calling my name!

How long have you been ttc?

No not really, ive been reducing for awhile I guess but Ive never cut it out completely well not since before I got pregnant with my son. Today is cd 1 so im determined to stay away from sugar. I used to have so much! In tea and 4 to 5 cups a day then on cereal, thats before u include if I had fizzy, cakes or choc bars etc. No wonder my pcos was bad!
But im hoping my weight loss from this will help too, its slow but still going down.
I meant to say my son is 2 and over now. Thanks hun got my fx for u too. I just so badly want my lo to have a sibling!

That's a lot of sugar. I really have my fingers crossed for you Hun! Hopefully your sugar free month helps! I've been avoiding sugar. Finding it a lil hard to be honest spesh when hubby scoffs a chocolate bar in front of me I've been doing slimming world for a while how and lose between 1-2lbs a week it's taken a while but I've lost 10 and half lbs so a steady weight loss, like you I just hope it helps the PCOS and ttc!

Thanks. Fx my weight loss is slow too but its staying off, even when I have big dinners or high calorie day because im being so good majority of the time I think the metabolism is getting better and burning it off. As has been very short too compared with usual

Sorry to post on here as I'm no longer LTTC. But I have had PCOS since I was a teenager and kind of ignored it.

It took us 8 years of trying before I finally got pregnant and had our son.

Anyway I had changed my diet a lot, cut out processed foods, stopped putting sugar on everything and lost 10kg.

I can't say that it's what got me pregnant but I did about 3 months after starting. I don't think it can hurt anyway!

Best of luck xoxo

No I think sugar is just so evil its addictive and it ruins your insides esp if youvr got pcos and the problem is women with pcos crave it more! Im getting so much better im loosing weight granted its slow but its going down. Im loosing about 1lb a week if I do lots of exercise I tend to loose about 2lbs but im on my period so not had the energy to do any except abit of walking.
