how to get clomid

hi girls i was just wondering how you got clomid?? i really want to try it but my gynea wont give it to me and its really frustrating.....im thinking of going private and paying for it anything is worth a go i feel......i have a son who is 5 met my husband and we started trying his 1st my 2nd...4 mmc and 3 years later were still trying thought it would be easy but oh no....i then had investigations into my mmc and they found that i had a septum in my vagina and uterus which is basicly a divide in them both so heart shaped so i ad an operation th correct them so now it has been 3 months since all clear to ttc again after op and still nothing...it has taken generally a year inbetween each mmc so i just really wanted clomid to maybe help a little what do you girls think sorry for the long post didnt know who else to talk to baby dust to all

I asked my FS for clomid and he was quite reluctant at first. He is quite a prominent FS and he said that all research around clomid suggests that it doesn't increase the odds of pregnancy when the woman is ovulating each month regularly. I do ovulate regularly, but I think I do so too early for my eggs to be good. My OH SA came back a bit low too although within the new WHO guidelines, and I thought if I could ov more than one egg, it gives extra chances.

I told him we were planning to go for IVF in the Spring (his private practice) and just wanted for three months so I can feel we tried everything before taking that route. I said that if it could just help me psychologically, it was still worth it. He agreed in the end.

I've been ttc now for 20 months. I fell pregnant first month ttc, m/c the following month and it's been 19 months.... I'm so sorry you had to go through the ordeal of loosing 4 babies, it must be so hard. Good news about the surgery though and if it's only been 3 months since then, it's still early.

I wish you good luck that you get a bfp with or without clomid.

You could think about trying Agnus Castus or Vitex as its sometimes called. Apparently its "natures Clomid" and you can get at any health store.

I came off the pill over a year ago and had very long and irregular cycles, i tried this for a few months and my cycles came down from 85 to 69 to 52 to 40 days so I think it did help me ovulate. I stopped though as I was diagnosed with PCOS and referred to a FS and I was lucky enough to get clomid.

Might be worth a try though, do some research first, apparently you take it from the start of your period to your ovulation day each cycle and can take a few months to work as it builds up in your system.

Good luck to everyone xxx

You should consider trying Soy Isoflavones. You can get it over the counter and it's said to work exactly like Clomid. You would have to research the dosages but you take it either CD3-7 or CD5-9.

Good luck!

No worries, its nice to be able to help others. Deffo fo your research first about how many you take and when etc, they arent cheap but sometimes Holland & Barrett do special offers. Probably the same proce as a prescription anyway though!!

Good luck and let me know if you do try it how you get on!
