Feeling really low again and angry :(

Hi i know that most of you out there have felt like this before. I felt really low about 6 months ago and was obsessing over getting pregnant and i think its happening again .This week i have found out 3 people i know are pregnant, its killing me again. To make things worse a so called friend (oh best friends girlfriend) said today to my oh why dont you think about adopting. This is the woman who just pops babies out with different men!!my oh said its not that easy,we dont want to sit there and have strangers decide if we will make good parents. she then said well you never know if you will make good parents!!BITCH , my oh said i know i will make a great dad so basically shut up. How dare she think that about us,its easy for her to talk like that when you've got 3 children.I know im a mom already without my baby.Dont you just hate people like that?I would have told her what i thought if id heard her but i was too busy looking after her children in the other room!this is the mom who swears infront of her children and swears at them and shes judging me,i dont think so hun

Oh hun, I know exactly how you feel. I am surrounded by super-fertile friends People who haven't been through this have no idea how it feels. It must be fantastic to be so fertile that you just fall pregnant within a month or two! And it's often the ones who just shouldn't be mothers at all - like you say, who swear in front of their children, smoke, drink too much, do drugs etc

I can understand partly the comments some people make who haven't been through it - they very likely rarely mean to be horrid, they just probably don't know what to say. I guess it's the same for anything in life - for example, I went through divorce a few years ago so now feel I could sympathise and help anyone else going through this. But before then, I wouldn't have had a clue how it felt to go through something like that and may well have come out with comments that could have seemed annoying without meaning to. I guess we just have to understand that they just can't understand because they haven't experienced this.

How long have you been ttc? I'm just coming up to a year now x

i hate when people say insensitive things to us! i try to remember that they dont know what to say, they have no idea that even though they mean well it hurts...etc. but it never gets easier...although i do enjoy the ones who ask why we dont have kids yet...i answer "well, were're having quite a time of it actually, what would you like to talk about first, my CM or OH's sperm count???" i just LOVE the look on their face as they try to think of something to say while im walking away...mean but the best i can do.

I know this feeling all too well! I've been deliberately avoiding seeing a pregnant friend because it will just upset me too much, and she is so self-centered that I can't help but wonder whether she will be a good mum (it's so unfair, I am so ready!) But i'd never say that to her, and personally knighty I think you were right to be absolutely furious!!

You totally will!!

I know this is silly but anyone else feel that all the magazines seem to be announcing pregnancy news in the last couple of weeks? Victoria Beckham, Jane Krakowski, Marian Cotillard.....how are they all doing it????

Hey knighty,
Sorry you're going through this. I would be angry too. Nobody knows what this is like unless you've been through it yourself.
I had to sit at work the other day, and listen to a 'so-called' friend boasting about how she 'fell' so easily with her 2 children within 2 months. And yes, she knows all about our problems. I get so sick.

Robyn - yes I feel like you, pregnancies being announced everywhere.
