Question for Prometrium users

Has anyone developed a rash from it?

I started taking it for the first time Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning with a rash on my stomach, back, and chest. Its not that bad, and doesn't itch, but I thought it was weird. I'm not even sure if the rash and pill are connected, but it seems to make sense.

The bottle says not to take it if you have a peanut allergy, but I don't have one. Not sure what to think. Has this happened to anyone?

Some women can have a allergic reaction to it ,I think you should notify your doctor right away.

Wow, no that hasn't happened to me, but I agree. I think you should call your doc also. Better safe then sorry.

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I ended up going to my RE clinic and they gave me a sample of Cronine gel to use instead for the next two days. They also fit me in for a blood draw (today is 7dpiui), and if my progesterone is good, I will discontinue the meds for the rest of the cycle. I'm ok with this, since my progesterone has always tested fine and this was just a precautionary thing this month. Thanks again!

FYI - the Crinone may give you a rather interesting experience...at least that's been the case for me each of the 5ish cycles I've taken it. In short, the stuff has to come out at some point, and it's slightly disturbing when it does Maybe you won't have that, though, if you're only on it for a couple of days!

I got a rash from it too, mine was on my legs though. Started on my left leg up by my knee then covered that leg and moved to the other. As soon as I stopped taking the Prometrium the rash went away.

Ohmygosh! It's so weird, huh. Mine actually starting moving onto my legs after a few days and that is why I finally called the dr. It seems to be going away now that I've stopped taking it. My progesterone results just came back from 7pdiui and it was 23.6, so the re says I don't need the supplementation anymore.

Thanks for the reply. Only taking it for 2 days wasn't so bad, but I can see what you mean if you had to take it day after day. Oh, the things we go through!

My re says I don't need progesterone supp. based on my blood draw on Tuesday, so I'm off it for now. We'll see how things go when I start testing in a few days.

I took it at night, so it wasn't that bad. But it just seems like some of it comes out the next day. Maybe a panty liner is in order. To me, it wasn't a big deal. But maybe it keeps building up the more days you use it or something.
