Can stress cause Metformin not work properly

hi ladies well i have been on Metformin since September 11 i was having cycles 33days long but the last cycle was 45days and this cycle is long i only ovulated last friday.

I have been under so much stress with work and my GP is thinking of signing me off work because of my stress. But i wanted to know if the stress i'm under is causing my treatment not to be as effective as it should be.

thanks xx

I don't know Hun - has your diet changed at all? What dosage ate you on? It could be that your body is getting used to.

I'll have a look and see if there is anything I can find x

I'm not sure about your question but have you been ovulating with the metformin? x

Found a couple of articles about stress affecting blood sugars, which could impact on the effectiveness of the metformin

I also think that the stress will be having an effect on you, rather than stopping the metformin working. Can you do anything to control the situation you're in to make it less stressful?
