Ttc with endometriosis

Yes I have endo. My doctor saw on ultrasound that I have a chocolate cyst endometrio. It's really small he said. We schedule a lap on September. Next week on the 29 I will see a fertility doctor. I am devastated and crying a lot. My husband and I do not have money for ivf. I am 34 and need to have kids now doctor said. My husband will get his degree in 2 years and we know everything will be okay. But if the doctor say we need ivf what are we gonna do? I only have one ovarian because I had a cyst and needed to be removed. I am feeling down knowing money will be the reason for us never to be parents. We have been married for 10 years. Please if you have a successful storie to share I would be happy. I feel just people with money can do ivf and it's not fair. We don't have 20 to 60 thousand sitting around but we do have money to have one child. Plus we know things will be better in the future. I am really depress and no one to talk too.

Good luck! I hope everything works out for you. It really is hard when you want to be a parent so badly and something is standing in your way. I hope that you do get that chance to have a baby of your own very soon.

Having endo doesn't necessarily mean that you will need to go down the IVF trail hun. You never know they may well see whilst doing the lap that they can repair everything whilst you are under anesthesia. I had my Lap done 3 weeks ago, and they cleared out a whole lot of endo. They said I have every chance of getting pregnant naturally within the next 3-6months. So don't stress until you see the fertility specialist, I am sure you will be fine!

This is true - If you have no male fertility factor and you have a lap done you should be able to try on your own or maybe an IUI. Also if you do have to have IVF and you insurance doesn't cover there are many options out there now. The have all kinds of financing options avaliable. I know it's hard to take as I also found out I have stageIII endo a few months ago, but then we also found out we have male factor as well. Keep your hopes up you will get your BFP. I know of a lot of people who got pregnant naturally with having endo especially after having a lap to clean it all up.

Thank you so much. Its really important to hear positive advices right now. I will have my lap done I think in October and my husband hasn't done any test to find out if he has any fertility problem. I hope can get pregnant naturally.

hi, I have endo, I was TTC for 3 years, then had the Lap done. (that was end of Jan 2010. I was given clomid 100mg to 'give me a boost' as the fertility doc said. It worked first time and my Little boy was born last Jan (2011). So endo def does not mean that you have to have IVF.

Good Luck.

I want to encourage you as well. I am an out of the box thinker and so I have used herbal recipes, healthy eating, exercise and acupunture in lieu of IVF. I was prepared to go bankrupt for a kid but I ended up getting pregnant by accident at age 34 instead by using natural protocols - no drugs. My laparoscopy was 4 years ago so I thought the least I would need to do is get another surgery. There is hope and I'm so happy I didn't have to take the 10,000 route. But then again, a child is priceless and if you must, in the end its worth it. Just make sure your body is as healthy as it can be.
