On clomid, ovulating before HCG injection

Im on 100mg clomid and not due to have my HCG injection until Wednesday which would be day 16 though I'm ment to have the injection day 12 but they couldn't fit me in. They told me day 16 would be fine and I won't ovulate but I didn't trust that which is good cos the last two days I've been doing ovulation tests and just now I've got a positive on it!! What do I do? they told me I wouldn't get that but I am and they don't answer there phones on Monday's so cant get in touch. I'm really annoyed as its lucky I kept an eye on things cos if I left it I would of missed this month.

Does everyone on clomid have to have the HCG injection or do some of you's ovulate without it. I dunno what to do, obviously I'm going to bd tonight but they said this wouldn't happen

looking at your history in your siggy it shows youve had clomid before....without trigger?

i'm wondering if perhaps they monitored you then and didn't see evidence of a collapsed follicle? It is reasonably common amongst clomid users and why a trgger shot is used.

If that were the case then whilst you might have a +OPK they are fairly confident that perhaps the follicle won't rupture and so you'd be ok to wait.

I'm flummoxed they can't fit you in though, a trigger shoy takes 30 seconds and is commonly self administered.

Most clinics have an out of hours number, if you call the regular number do they not have an answer phone message, or check the paperwork you may have been given commonly there's a nurse on call number given.

Either way i would BD because it can't hurt

I've had the HCG injection each cycle of clomid just didn't include that in my sig. Unfortunately even if I leave an answer message it won't get picked up until Tuesday when someone is in the office. I have the injection in my fridge right now but my doctor has to do a scan then nurse gives the injection so I can't do it myself. I'm getting slight pains in my ovaries area so I think I'm actually going to ovulate before I even get to speak to someone

just didn't know if it was right to ovulate before the injection on clomid
