-While it's tested and pushed my marriage to it's limits, it has brought my DH and I a little closer.
-I have the option to go back to school and get my bachelor's.
-I can drink alcohol whenever I please.
-I can be selfish.

I'm so glad someone else said this. I like wine...like, really like the taste of it. Just like a good Thanksgiving dinner. But some people don't understand that. My mother can't understand how I actually "like" the taste of alcohol. Not that I want to be abosolutely faded all the time, but having a couple of glasses here and there isn't bad...at least not to me. But sometimes I see people that have given this up completely and then talk about it like the devil created it, and I start to feel guilty. I drink within limits...the limits my fs said, not my own limits or society's. It's nice to there are others that feel like me. I don't drink after O, but before then, especially after a long work week; I need my wine.

Good thread! With so many negatives, I have always told my husband there are some positives.

~ My dogs have grown older and less feisty. Always good for bringing in babies.
~ We have paid off so much more of the mortgage as I have been able to continue working full-time. If I had kids, I wouldn't be going back full time so this pads our savings a bit.
~ We've gotten to hang out more and enjoy our home. That's been really nice.

I think not have a baby right away has actually helped me prepare MORE for having a baby. Weird huh?

I also need my wine, I don't party till 3am every night, actually i never do that, but i tell you an after work glass of wine, or a glass or two on the weekend keeps me sane! I love to put my feet up and read a good book or visit with my parents over a glass of wine (my hubby doesn't drink).

I hate that i'm not pregnant yet, but I do enjoy a glass of wine here and there.. nothing wrong with that!

I know...we all hate that we're not preggo, but a glass or two of wine isn't going to hurt our chances anymore...lol. My hubby doesn't really drink either, unless he is just completely stressed to the max, or I plan a romantic evening for us or something.

I Love chocolate and I am so glad I can still occasionally indulge in the caffeine fueled delight

I suppose the best thing to come from infertility is that I have met some truly like minded strong amazing women, who are the only people (apart from my husband) who actually know what I have been going through, and accept my insecurities and my tough times and who pick me up when I feel like it is all too much and who don't say stupid things like, "relax"," I know what your going through" and "It WILL happen".

nice thread!

I also can find positive things about not falling pregnant yet. we have travelled quite a bit, seen places that we couldn't have if I had a bump or a baby.
I have learned how to live with disappointments and how to pick myself up again. of course I didn't need to be a ltttcer for that... but anyway.
I think my OH and I have grown even closer and more in love over the last two years- if that's possible! we have formed this unbreakable bond it seems...
and I am in the process of learning what to do and what not to do when the baby does come being that I have two- well, one good one- friends that are mommies now and have seen them both through their pregnancies.
and I have learned so much from a few lovely ladies I met on bnb. great support system we have here!
oh and sitting around watching movies, reading books all the way through, sleeping in, drinking occasional glass of wine or beer, coffee - though I rarely do- bike riding...
