Metformin and unexplained anovulation?

Hi gals,

Has anyone taken metformin for unexplained anovulation or PCOS? My Dr. seems to think I have PCOS, but my blood levels are fine and she hasn't checked for cysts yet, so I'm still skeptical.

I'm wondering what the side effects were, if it helped start regular ovulation, and just what your story was/is.

I'm not TTC yet, but we hope to be within a year, and I only have a period every 40 - 75 days.

Just started BBT charting, so I don't know if I'm ovulating or not yet.

Thanks! Any and all feedback is appreciated.
