Lap and Dye cancelled due to intercourse

So upset yesterday as I was booked in for a Lap and Dye yesterday as prob like many of you I was terrified. I was up at 5.30 as the hospital is 45 minutes away and was a bag of nerves. I had my pre-op assement when they asked me detailab out my cycle. I told them I was day 14 and so she asked me have you had intercourse I said yes two days ago though CBFM had not indicated ovulation yet so I though this to be ok. She said we'll have to cabcle your operation until next month. I was gutted!!!!!!

In an earlier appoinment she had advised to be carefull as they couldn't perform the op if I was pregnant. Soo i thought that I was fine as I hadnt even ovulated yet. I was soo wrong and now i have to waite a month for the next.

I guesse I feel like venting as had the doctor said and explained things to me better I would have never have got in this situation.

I never had any of this in Feb before I had mine done.
I took an appointment last minute that someone else had cancelled. Had pre-op assesment 2 days before the op and hospital did a pregnancy test (negative).
On the day of the op (3 days before my period due) I had to take another test - still negative. No-one mentioned no sex!!

So sorry for you going through that. It shouldn't have mattered if you did O yet...If it can help I was a ball of nerves and stress a month prior to my lap on march 30th and it went well and fast and if I would've know what I know now I def wouldn't have stressed so much. Take that time for you and who knows maybe this month will be your month and you won't even need the lap. Best of luck!!!!
