Moving house while undergoing IVF - Help please?

We are currently waiting for our first appointment at Hammersmith hospital, we are under this hospital due to us being british military living out in Germany and get 3 free attempts there NHS funded.

But, we think we will only have time to use 1 possible 2 of those attempts before being posted back to the UK, and will then come under whichever PCT we move to.

Does anybody know if we moved to a PCT outside of Hammersmith would we continue our treatment there and still get the 3 attemps or would that have to cease?

Would we need to start the referral and waiting list process over again under our new PCT?

If anybody has any information or experiance on this please could you let me know, many thanks x

I'm not sue on this one, but I believe you would have to follow the rules of the new PCT.

Hopefully, you will only need that 1 attempt and you'll get your bfp!

Good Luck.

Hi
You going hammersmith in London?
Or are you in Germany and moving back to uk?

As I am waiting to go hammersmith in London.

I really can't say about you having to change hospitals, don't think about all that, and worry yourself even more, you could get pregnant the 1st time.

I'm nearly 27 and coz of my age been told the chances of falling first time is very high.
How old are you?

I'm just concentrating on thinking aboit how many eggs to transfer etc and all the things we are going to be going through, it's going to be tough but we can do it xc

Hello, we live in Germany but will be undergoing all treatment at hammersmith while we live out here, when we move back next year we will fall under the pct for our house.

How far through the process are you with hammersmith? Had your first appointment yet? What happens?

I'm 30, and been ttc for 4 and half years so very nervous to be at this stage! We have got here 3 times before then had to withdraw due to circumstances so praying that we get there this time.

Xxx

We are still waiting for our 1st apointment to come through and hubby has got to go urologist on 8th June too, but they still proceeding with the ivf appt.

I think you just discuss tye while ivf process at the 1st appt so you know what to expect. And try figure out when's best to start.

I've been told they normally say 2 months after your 1st appt to start.
It's a long process x

Ald we sold our place 4 weeks ago and we are likely to be moving when we are doing IVF or even the week I have surgery, think I would rather move whilst doing IVF. But I am glad we will have our big house ready in time for a baby. To be honest I would worry if I fell pregnant whilst living in a flat, as it would not be practical to bring a baby up in a flat. It's all go but I am hoping the move and excitement of a new home to make lovely will occupy me from the IVF. Good Luck I do hope everything goes smoothly for you. I believe that you would need to be referred from your consultant but you will probably find the waiting list may not apply, Me and hubby are explained and we have not need to go on a waiting list you just need to wait for funding to be approved, which can take a coupe of months, but at this stage in the game a couple of months is nothing xx
