Metformin having increased chance of ectopic

I have heard that if u take metformin that you are a higher risk of having an ectopic pregnancy.

Has anyone been told this by there fertility doctor??

I'm on Metformin and my doctor told me there's no increased risk of egtopics for me. Might be different if you have any history of egtopics though. Hope that helps.

Hi Ladies,

I have just started metformin on CD20 and I am due to start my first cycle of IVF next week, I have no idea why I am on Metformin as I dont have PCOS I am just taking them as my consultant says it prepares my ovaries before stimulating them with the IVF injections.
