Tryptophan and TTC

I am just curious if anyone has any information about Tryptophan and TTC? I have been looking a little today, and the only studies I have found were done on women in the 3rd trimester.

I started taking OTC Tryptophan this month for pmdd, since I always have a lot of trouble sleeping and get moody before AF, and it has really helped me! But, after reading its not safe while pregnant, I am now afraid to take any. But, I am just wondering if this is one of those things where its trimester specific, and if maybe its ok during the first two weeks. I would hate to give it up, because it has worked so well for me these last two weeks, but I would do it without hesitation if there is any chance it could harm a baby.

So, if anyone has any info... I would appreciate it!
