can someone reccomend a good reasonably priced car seat for a newborn

i have DD's maxi cosi car seat that fits onto the pram but ive lost the head support and the hood for it so ive been looking for a cheapish car seat to get us by until he can go in it without needing the support
ive seen a few online but without trying it i dunno.

Instead of buying a new seat would you not buy a hood and head hugger for the carbiofix?

Hoods on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Car-Seat-A...maxi+cosi+hood

Head huggers http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Car-Seat-A...hugger&_fscr=1

Universal head hugger http://www.childsplaysussex.co.uk/su...er-5498-0.html

Ah ok, sorry no help on a cheap car seat. Imo you get what you pay for, the maxi cosi is a great seat. Could you get a universal head hugger for it in nursery store near you and order hood off ebay, hood isnt a must have straight away so you could wait a few days for it My sil had her ds in Sep and never uses the hood.
