Any bi-national same-sex parents on here?

This is probably a complete shot in the dark, but I don't know where else to ask....

I'm a US citizen and my civil partner is a UK citizen. We live in the UK since US federal law doesn't actually allow same sex marriage and therefore no visa for my spouse to live there with me... The UK is awesome though, and does allow me a spousal visa to live with my partner, so here we are-

I'm currently carrying our first child, via known donor, and according to UK law both of us will be on the birth certificate since we are in a civil partnership...

so I'm wondering if anyone is in a similar situation and has applied for dual citizenship for their child- or if anyone has successfully found a way to live in the USA with and UK civil partner and child.

Thanks!
