I just wanted to share my story with you. I was on birth control for 10 years. For about 7 years I was on depo, but my doc took my off as it was messing with my hormones and causing other problems. After the shot, I started to take the pill. I did that for a little over 3 years when my DH wanted to have another baby. As he has 1 and I have 1. I stopped BC in August and we wanted to see if it will happen, but it didn't. I don't think we were doing it at the right time.
So we went to the doc and he told us to give it about 6 months to a year and see if it happens. Well, I was having severe cramps/pains through-out the month and he thought maybe my tubes were blocked. They performed an HSG in Nov and all was clear. I heard that you have a higher chance to get pregnant after an HSG, so I asked the doc for one round of clomid to help as well. Well, they did some bloodwork and gave me 50mg of clomid to take on CD 3-5.
When I started the clomid, I took it at night to off-set the effects. The only effect I had from the clomid was a really bad headache for the first two days. Nothing after that. The doc told me to take 3 tablespoons of Robitussin a day while I was taking clomid. After reading about EPO and grapefruit juice on this board I did that as well. I took 1500 mg per day of EPO and dranked as much juice as possible.
After I took all the pills, I started using OPK's to determine when I will ovulated. I did them for 9 days and did not get a positive. I just said that I will continue to BD and hope it happens. On about CD 15 and 16 I had some right and left pains, but that was it. I normally would ov on CD 11, but I knew that clomid can push ov back. I had my bloodwork done on CD23, which was 7 days from CD16 and the nurse told me that I had in fact ovulated.
I was happy to know that I ov, but I was starting to feel different as well. About 5dpo I started to sleep alot and had some stomach pains. I also had a lot of CM from ov to now. I really thought I was out this month as I was having bad cramps and I felt like AF was on her way. I kept going to the bathroom to check, but nothing was there. I tested on cd29 and got my BFP. I also tooked my temp as well and it is still up.
Ladies, don't give it there is hope even when you don't have all those symptoms and you don't get a positive OPK.
Thanks for replying on my other thread hun and a huge congratulations to you on your BFP.
I started having cramps from OV and still have them on and off throughout the day now. CM is cloudy although there isnt much of it. Also been having tingles in my boobs. did you experiance these? I took clomide days 2-6 and like you took Robi 3 times a day form the day after my last pill until the day i OVd. I normally OV on CD13 but i OVd on CD11 this time. I bedded CD 7 8 9 and 12(x3).
Im hoping i get my BFP sooooo badly this month.
Do you think my symptoms sound posivit then? I have read that the cramps after OV on clomide are normal.
Yes, I experienced those symptoms as well. I didn't BD on my ov day either. You sound like me. I think that your signs are promising. I hope that you get your BFP this time.
Please keep me updated.
Ah you have given me sooo mmuch hope. I cant explain it but i just feel different. Im being cautiously optimistic. I will let you know how i get on when testing in a few days. ill be testing early cause i cant wait but id rather see a BFN that just have AF appear without word of warning. lol.
