Ladies,

I ovulated round 1 clomid, but not round 2.

Did anyone go onto ovulate after a failed month?

I'm feeling really disheartened, and not sure if I should do round 3 at 50mg or go back & see doc - I am having to pay privately...

Any success stories with clomid & ovulation after failed cycle would be very welcome!!!!!!

I'm on my 3rd round of clomid, 100 mg, CDs4-8

Cycle #1: Ovulated CD17
Cycle #2: Ovulated CD33
Cycle #3: Waiting to O, currently on CD14

I chose to remain on 100 mg after speaking to the nurse who works for my doctor. Things were a little different during each cycle, as cycle #1 I took it at night, not necessarily the same time (I was travelling through time zones, so I couldn't keep it straight), and didn't do anything to help my CM. Cycle #2 I took it in the morning at almost the exact same time every day, but I drank grapefruit juice from probably CDs10-20 to help my CM. I am thinking the grapefruit juice was the problem, so I'm trying again this time with preseed.

I would just call your doctors office with your question. They might suggest that you change the days that you are taking it, or they might up your dose over the phone. It never hurts to call! I hope you get it sorted out!

hiya i ovulated my first but not my 2nd, they upped my dose & i ovulated.

How did you know that you ovulated on CD33 - are you testing or being monitored?

I'm on CD36 and getting major cramps, but thought it was too late to ovulate as took clomid CD2-6??

I am supposed to get bloodwork this cycle as well since my O was so late last cycle. Basically I O'd, but it can't be contributed to the clomid as that should happen 5-10 days after your last pill.

In cycle #2 I took it in the morning instead of at night, which gave me horrible hot flashes and I didn't sleep through the night until CD19 when I took a sleep aid to help my sleep cycle reset. I think these factors, especially the grapefruit juice, are what delayed my O. That's why I'm willing to try the same dose one more time.

CD36 isn't too late to O, but it won't be attributed to the clomid. You'll need to call your doctor about it and see how long you should wait on AF before you get it induced and try the next cycle. My doctor had told me to wait until I was 2 weeks late and if I was still getting negative hpts to call/come in about it. Well I knew I hadn't ovulated from my temps, but I felt like I should follow protocol, so I waiting and lo and behold I ovulated!

afm,

1st round - 50 mg - no ovulation
2nd round - 100 mg - really good ovulataion but bfn
3rd round - 100 mg- no ovulation ???
4th round - waiting for af after provera to do another round at 100 mg

Yes I did a 3rd round, Ov'd CD17 just like the first cycle. That's my last cycle of clomid for a while as DH and I decided to drop down to NTNP for a while.
