i hate the job centre.. rant

Going to let off some steam because right now im really annoyed! :/

My sign on day is every other tuesday an i'm due to sign on next tuesday but as everytime i go they nag me to start a course or do something so connexions have been in touch and signed me up for an 8 week young mums course which im really looking forward to and start on tuesday, obviously interfering with the day i sign on because its 10-5 and my sign on time is 2.10 so no way i can sign on unless i don't go to the course.. But im going to the course whether job centre like it or not so i rang them and explained that can't sign on that day and if they could change the day i sign on to a monday because my dad is off work and can give me a lift as the job centre is 15 miles away and £5 each time i go.. But noo they said i have to go in on wednesday for an appointment they don't know what for to then give me a new signing on day so that means having to go to town twice this week so going to cost me £10 just to go see them.. + i normally get paid on a friday but because i'l be signing on a later date it'l be the week after before i get paid and i'm skint Grrrrrr hate the job centre so much, roll on when im 29 weeks and don't have to faff about every other tuesday signing a sheet! :/

Yeah definately, all job centre do is make you get a job no matter what but connexions actually help you find something you want to do
I cant wait for the course, mayb_baby u should ring about and see if theres any courses like it in your area I get my lunch and taxi paid for too which makes it alot easier for me to get there as i live in the middle of nowhere x

Hun, you shouldn't be paying to go there, tell the jobcentre that you can't afford to pay for travel there and back and they give you a discounted travelcard which pays for your travel there and back. hope it all works out for you, i totally understand, i had so much grief with the jobcentre, thank god i'm finally off jobseekers allowance and on income support, don't have to see their faces again until LO is 6 months

I've told them but they don't listen It annoys me so much because they pay for heroin addicts to pay for their addiction and any dogs they own but they can't pay for my travel grrrrr i've been onto them again to find out why i have to go in next wednesday and there ringing me back so will ask they about the travel card
Lucky u that u dont have to see them again, but i thought it would be later than when LO is 6 months.. whys that? There bloody buggers aren't they! x

they do make you mad dont they!!...i was lucky enough to be on employment and support allowence instead of jsa due to sickness i could no longer work and they were still being idiots then...they made me go for a medical//physical exam even though they knew it was sickness and ive had lots of doctors notes telling me i was unfit for work. They help the wrong people they really do.

Hope everything works out for you though
