Really bad back pain?

I was wondering if anyone else was having back pain so bad you just want to cry?

I am almost 29 weeks and 6 days pregnant and this past week the middle of my back (where my bra strap should be, I haven't been wearing one though because of how bad it is) has been KILLING me. It is so bad!

I knew I would have back pain but I didn't think it would be this bad this early. Also whenever I look up back pain in pregnancy it always refers to your lower back, but my lower back has been fine. It is the middle of my back the most and then my shoulders at times.

Anyone have anything like this, this early on? How did you relieve the pain?

OH YEAH! Right at the bra strap! it kills me too...
I usually get it at night, the only thing i've found that helps is get on your hands and knees and let your belly hang for a minute then arch your back up (kinda like a scared cat) for a few seconds and repeat, Its a stretch that my friend showed me that she used during pregnancy (she has 2 kids . and if that doesnt help much take tylenol, and if you get it at night you can take tylenol pm. But the thing that helps the best (only temporary) is a nice massage by your OH. hope i helped ease your pain a bit
Oh yeah, and a nice warm (not hot) bath helps alot too.

Thanks they will hopefully help. Ill have to try the stretch soon, I read about that one online too. And yeah a massage always helps but my OH is getting tired of doing them and not getting any in return haha, but it isn't my fault. When I went to give him one it hurt him because he had pulled a muscle so I have to wait until that is better.

Also I keep going to use my heating pad but my Dad is always using it because he hurt his back so I just let him use it.

i have to go to physical therapy because even before i was pregnant i had a lot of back and hip trouble,
and she's given me a few things that help.
for one, if oyu have a body pillow, when you go to bed at night, rest you bump on top of the pillow, it takes some strain off your back.
it's a little uncomfortable, but it helps a lot.
another was that cat excercise,
and to make sure you wear a really supportive bra.
she also told me to get this belt thing that goes just under your bump and kind of hold it up a little, just to take a little more strain off.
i think there's more that i'm forgetting

I get pain in my side, like by my bra strap sometimes so that I have to shift posistion, I think its just the way shes laying on that given day. rubbing it has always helped.

Be careful with the heating pad! Only use it on a low setting for short amounts of time. My Doctor advised me of this and said, "Always remember, whatever your temp is, the baby's will always be a degree higher"

Good luck, I hate this back pain... I wish i could hit the fast forward button to delivery day (even tho that pain's gonna be worse, lol)

Oh thanks I didn't know that! My doctor has never said that to me. I will be careful if I use one.

Haha and yes I want to fast forward too even though the pain will be worse because then I have my LO and the pain will be over soon.
