True but where I am from its pretty normal to get videos and pics and a few of my friends get monthly scans and for no reason just thats how their dr does but they dont get pics everytime. I just feel like I got ripped bc the video is suppose to be at least 20 min...they said they may do one more just to check babys size so I hope they do.

I felt like that at my 20 week scan too. The lady only gave me 2 pictures, both of the front of his face, no profile view or anything. Was rude to me. Looked for the gender and just pretty much gave up after 5 seconds.. plus she wouldn't leT me watch her do the scan, she turned it towards me for I'd say 1-2 minutes and then said "I'm done" and turned the machine off.. It sucked.. I walked out happy to see a healthy baby but diapointed in her attitude and really just their service..
I got lucky that I had a scan at 21 weeks to check his heart out- at a different place- and they did good by me! definitely more then they "needed" to.
I then had to get a scan at 30 weeks to check growth- same place that they had been rude before-and I didn't get any pics...

Skye I think I am disappointed in the service bc I didn't get to watch the scan either. They had me lay flat and I couldn't see the screen I asked her to turn it so I could see and she said well let me get these measurements and then I will and by the time she got done she said let me get your dr. to take a look and popped out my vhs and said it should all be on here for you too see and when I got home nothing just a beautiful baby's head and spine. I am so thankful that I did get too see my baby don't get me wrong it was the best but the service and expectation of having it on video then it not be there really upsets me.

On a side note where I have pcos and my sugar levels are being monitored weekly plus baby girl was breech at 20 weeks..I rly hope they do one more scan. The ultrasound tech. said I should get one more at 31 weeks but the lady at the desk said I wouldn't unless dr. says so but she looked at my chart and said it looks like he might let you but we will see at ur next appt. So fingers crossed.

Wow i wish i had a video, where i live you just get 1 picture which you pay £5 for and thats it. My scan was amazing though, baby wouldnt stay still so me and OH were in there for a long time They are not supposed to tell you gender either but your allowed to ask and if they want to tell you they will. Luckily my sonographer was really nice and we were told

It sucks you didnt get to see the screen! At my hospital they have like a plasma TV for us to see the scan and sonographer had her own monitor. I hope you get another scan hun!

Yeah sounds like we got some RUDE people doing out scans.. my mom said they always let her watch, she got video, and pictures with us. Here they won't let you bring a DVD or VHS to record even though their machines have a place for them!! Annoying..
FX you'll get another and it'll actually be good service..

I never got a video. I know you're disappointed but also think that they like to limit the amount of ultrasounds because of the radiation. Sorry you're unhappy though.
