Very worried

Hey guys, so on friday, (24th) I found out that I'm pregnant. According to an online week calculator I'm at about 4 weeks 4 days.
It's been fine up until now, with the typical nausea earlier in the day, mood swings etc. Everything I've been told to expect.
But today I have been experiencing some pretty bad middle to lower back pain, and then I began getting cramps similar to period cramps. They are on the left side of my pelvic area, and I have been spotting lightly for the past 4ish hours.

Is this common? What could be causing this, and is it something to be worried about? I'm very uncomfortable, and worried if it may be miscarriage.

I have a doctor appointment tomorrow so I will be getting checked out anyways, just wanted some input as I'm unsure what to think at this point

Hard to say, you're super early so it could be implantation bleeding which is very common. If the blood is bright red it's usually more if a concern than when it's brown as brown blood is generally "old blood".

Cramps and back pain are pretty normal in the first tri, I would get cramps that felt JUST like my period was coming and it was pretty painful at times.

If the cramps get worse and the bleeding gets heavier I would go to the hospital to be on the safe side.

Good luck and I hope everything is ok.

from weeks 4-7 of my pregnancy I felt as though I was about to start my period any second. lots of stretching going on in there so perfectly normal..

As for the blood, not unheard of.. I had a little early spotting after having sex if that could explain it for you?

Spotting and cramping CAN be normal in pregnancy. Everyone's pregnancy is different, I suggest you speak to your doctor to be reassured though and make sure everything is okay good luck

Spotting can be normal but go see a doctor just in case. I had period like pains all the way through my first trimester, pretty much every day. xx

Backpain is just one of the joys of pregnancy, as for the cramping that is just your uterus stretching to make room for baby, they say you do generally feel it more on your left side. As for the bleeding it could just be old implantation blood if it is brown, if it is red I may be concerned! If you feel concerned about the blood, I would contact your doctor just to ease your worries.

I hope everything is okay, and you have a happy & healthy nine months

I found out I was pregnant the same day! I'm having cramping and back pain too but I read that that is just a symptom of everything growing for the baby. I haven't had any sporting though so I don't know about that. :/ good luck, we can be bump buddies!

Hey!

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow, I didn't have any blood, however since day 1, before I could even get a positive, I knew I was pregnant due to period-like cramps. And sometimes they do get VERY sore that I cant move Hoping itll stop by 2nd tri! But it is normal! Also like other girls said, in general, small amounts of blood is normal, especially if it's brown!

I know your pain, I have to run to the toilet every 2 mins, because due to the extra discharge (sorry tmi) and the cramping I'm continuously thinking im miscarrying! It sucks!

Here's to hoping we all have lots of very healthy and happy babies! xx

Thanks guys! It's really reassuring knowing other women went through the same thing and that their babies were fine. I should be seeing the doctor later on today, so hopefully mine is doing good too and tentoes92, definitely
