Hahaha, even as I was pushing, I was telling OH not to look since I hadn't shaved too recently. I don't mind now that he looked.

I made it to 9 cm dilated without my epidural (not by choice). Seeing as I could to that, I realized that its not as horrible as I'd expected. Not going to lie, it reallllly hurt, but all the pain is just a memory now, and it's all worth it the second you see that baby being held up and put on your chest.

And honestly, labor really was the best part of pregnancy. I miss feeling LO in my belly, but the second I was able to feel him in my arms, everything was more perfect than I'd ever imagined.

As for what contractions feel like - To me, it was a warm pain (if that makes sense) moving from my lower back toward my belly button. When they started, I wouldn't have known besides being a little uncomfortable, and having poked at my belly. But that pain comes. I was so worried I wouldn't know, but I did.

Just one thing though, how would you describe what real contractions feel like? Cos I know my BH but they keep getting stronger and stronger and I'm wondering if I'll know the difference x
There's no mistaking it, contractions are a lot more intense and painful... Oh and I couldn't sit still through them, I was walking up and down the ward and leaning on walls like a mad woman

Lol that was me 1000 times over when I first started pushing I looked at my mom and OH and was like 'is she almost out?' my mom went 'we can see her hair' I started bawling 'why didn't you lie to me?' hahaha. Honestly though it hurts but not like I thought it would and once she was out it didn't even matter.

I've always enjoyed labour as I get so excited. The 'rushing' around and knowing my LO is coming, makes me all anxious and happy and excited.

....even through everything else.
