What happens if?...

Got my gender scan on the 20th and i'm convinced LO is gonna keep their legs closed and i wont be able to find out the gender!

Has this happened to anyone and if so what will they do. Will they offer me another scan or will i have to pay for a private 4d scan?

Thanks Ladies

P.s I'm in the UK so bear in mind it might be different to the USA x

You might have another scan later on in your pregnancy, or they might let you jump around and get LO moving.

Though I got told LO was a girl and I had a boy

Well I only know my mum's experience here in the US. She couldn't find out the entire time, and had to book a few private ones, but they gave her scans all the way up to 38 weeks and I was too stubborn It's annoying, but hopefully your LO won't be as stubborn as I was

They might offer a re-scan if they can't get baby to open his/her legs but it is more than likely that you'll have to book a private scan if you can't find out and still want to xx

I doubt you'd get a rescan just to found out the sex. You could ask again if you had a growth scan later on in pregnancy. Otherwise I think you'd have to be team yellow or pay for one

Ahh man that sucks. Has anyone had a 4D scan? Expensive? I've heard there are at least £100+

I am desperate to find out but i think if i couldnt at my 20 week scan i would stay team yellow as i think it would be a sign not to know haha! Everything happens for a reason i guess

Hopefully all will be fine tho xxxo

i would recommend a 4d scan anyway even if your baby lets you find out what they are as its such an amazing experience the only down side is the price but i went half & half with OH so it was only £50 each xx

It's pretty rare but they aren't allowed to say 100% sure its a xxxxx incase they are wrong.

_laura - Didn't you find out you were pregnant quite late on too? Can't believe they told you wrong though =/ eek. Actually at my growth scan at 28 weeks she asked me did I know the sex and I said a girl. She actually said she defo was. I know they can't say 100% but she said "definitely". I'm still worried she's gonna be a boy, but I think that's because we have all her clothes and room ready.
