The motherly love yes for most people does come naturally the parenting is one HUGE learning curve lol! i know when i was in hospital left all on my own and dealing with my 1st nappy change i was all in a kerfuffle i didn't have a clue what i was doing but with a bit of practice i got there in the end lol x

I'm so glad I'm having a girl. I've not changed a nappy in years! When my brother was little (6 years ago now) I can imagine I'd end up with a face full of wee though x
I worry about the being a mum part too. Jesse (FOB) is just born to be a daddy, you can tell Me...not so much

I read that to my mum and she said to remind that girls can pee at weird angles too You arn't "Safe" just cause you have a girl, apparently that was a big shock to her and she had to change her shirt whenever she changed me for the first few days.

I reckon my OH will be fab. I don't want him to go home while I'm in the hospital. I'll be lost without him!!

Oh geez Well in that case looks like I'm gonna end up covered in wee. I can just see it now lol.

I wasn't induced but was 6 days over with Nathaniel (and I am nearly certain I had no contractions until the midwives tried to get my son to move as I had reduced movement.. my contractions started the same night... I still wonder to this day about that!), so there is still time if they do let you go over. Whatever is best for bubs. Try to go in taking things as they come, don't let the nerves get the better of you. I went in not even thinking how I wanted things and to be honest I think it made me calmer lol.

As for the other worry, it's a learning process but you will fit into it in no time. I cannot imagine life any other way now.
Thank you for the reassurance

My midwife had a good wiggle of her yesterday when I told her I had reduced movement. (she really pressed hard and it did hurt me) She said she wasn't moving and she thought it was odd as they usually squirm a bit to move away. So sent me to be monitored at the hospital. I don't even know what to expect really...except a lot of pain But I'd get than with any labour. I suppose it's good I don't have any previous labours to compare, iykwim? I have noticed I'm having regular BH tonight (I've had hardly any upto 37 weeks and get them occasionally now) So maybe it's a good sign!

Ah yes I had monitoring due to lack of movement as well
Turns out he was sleeping on a constant basis

Yep, I am sure you have read about options for pain relief just in case. Other than that, now it is just time to relax and let things come as they come. I went into labor with a completely blank mind tbh, and I think I was a lot more relaxed and wasn't stressed in the slightest.

Hopefully it will be a good sign for you too. It was for me
