I do whatever I want except the obvious; like drugs & alcohol.. and high-mercury fish.

I think the stress of do's and don'ts does more damage than anything.

all I drink is tap water.. I have my entire pregnancy.. at least a gallon a day; so unless you have really nasty tap water, keep drinking it! bottled water gets expensive!

There are studies that show you shouldn't drink bottled water! So short of setting up a water tank to collect rain water I'm not sure what were meant to drink! I don't eat deli meat, I've got to admit on my birthday I ate some cheese that wasn't pasteurised but I'm usually very careful with that, and I'm careful with shellfish and fish. And obviously I don't drink or smoke either.. My MIL and her brother pressured me into drinking wine at Xmas and I literally wet my lips with some of my OH's and felt so guilty about it

Someone told me not to drink tap water too...and not to eat deli sandwiches because of the turkey I have also died my hair A LOT during this pregnancy and people have a lot to say about it. I just don't give a shit at all,I stopped smoking as soon as I found out,no caffeine, nothing harmful,I eat good and I take care of myself,my son,my LO and my OH...so everyone elses opinions don't mean shattt to me..just ignore people! People can be ignorant and very misinformed about things..YOU'RE the pregnant one,you know what you should and shouldn't do

Tap water is bad even if you're not pregnant. At least in the US. The government mandates that the water be a neutral PH, about 7.5, but they don't regulate how they get the water to that level, depending on your location, you can find high amounts of things such as chlorine and rat poison. By law they have to state what they are putting in the water, so I think if you look into it based on your location, the water company will disclose a list of chemicals that are in the water. Pretty nasty stuff..

I've never liked tap water, I boil my water in the kettle then full a bottle to keep in the fridge. I didn't know about not eating Deli meat, i've been eating so much subway thinking 'yeaah it's healthy!' but I stopped smoking and drinking once I found out I was pregnant.

I've had Subway TONS during my pregnancy; how often do you actually hear of people getting listeria?
