I had mine done last week, because I have two close family memebers with type 1 diabetes and am at higher risk of developing gestational diabetes.

I had to fast for 12 hours before mine, went in and had my blood taken, then had to drink the orange stuff that was not lucozade! Then had to wait two hours ( had to lie down for most of that as was feeling so dizzy :dohh : ) then bloods taken again.

Results back the next day and my results were well within the normal range I celebrated with a twix and oasis drink

this may be a stupid question but ...
does everyone have this test?
i'm coming up to 27weeks and it hasn't been mentioned to me, my midwife did tell me that she will be taking my bloods at my appointment before my anti d injection & i get my bloods taken every week when i see my consultant but no glucose test has been mentioned?
