Constantly worried!

I know it's totally normal but I'm so sick of constantly being worried about my pregnancy. I've had pains since my period was due and they come near enough everyday and each time they scare me to death, even though I know it's just my body stretching with baby. I can't wait til I'm 12 weeks, hopefully I'll calm down a bit then but I probably won't I guess I just think it's too good to be true and it seems unbelievable that I could end up with a healthy baby at the end of it.

Is anyone else like this? I welcome the second trimester so I can begin to enjoy my pregnancy

i had the same pains as your when i was early in my pregnancy. as you said, it's your body preparing and stretching for your baby. because my pains were so bad, i was taking paracetamol, i was told by my doctor that it wouldn't cause any harm so if the pain does get too much, there is always that option.

it is natural to worry about the pains and until you have that first scan and get reassurance, it is difficult for those worries to go away, always here to chat

It's normal to feel that way! But the worrying doesn't stop, I'm nearly 30 weeks and I still worry!

I've been taking paracetamol as they do get quite bad, it helps cos I stop worrying once the pains gone Yeah I think once I've had my scan I'll relax a little, and will probably feel more real then as it seems strange at the moment that a baby is growing inside me! . Thankyou

I think I'll be the same! I think as soon as your pregnant the worry begins and doesn't end even after baby is born

I feel exactly the same. Can't wait for the 12 week mark, and I'm only 4 weeks just now! Always think the worst. :/

I still worry and my daughter is 11 months old now.
It's all part of being a mummy.

It's awful. I'm starting to relax a little more as I get closer to 12 weeks, but I'll probably still worry after that! Welcome to motherhood I guess

I'm so glad I found out when I was 8, nearly 9 weeks. I can't imagine how much more worrying it must be to know at 4 weeks! I hope the time between now and 12 weeks flies for you I just keep reminding myself that getting pregnant is the hard part and chances are everything will be fine!

Alot of people have been telling me that the worry isn't gonna go away even after baby is born and I guess they're right, so I better get used to it

Btw I love your daughter's name, it's one of my choices

Thank you
Certainly is, I know she keeps me on my toes when she's exploring and climbing. I feel like wrapping her up to keep her safe. At least when she was in my tummy, she couldn't climb and hurt herself
