Rhogam shot?

I had to get the Rhogam shot on Friday because of my negative blood type - but Saturday my butt (where they gave me the shot) got really painful, now I have a bad pain in my back/hip on the side where they gave me the shot. I've also been sick to my stomach and have had really painful urination since Friday?
Are these normal side effects - or should I go ahead and call my doctor? Have any of you ladies had this shot yet?

the painful urination bit doesn't sound right hun, i'd defo phone your mw and ask!
i've got a scan/appt on friday where they're gonna take blood + i'm a negative blood type so i'll probably get it there i'm a complete needlephobe, but hopefully if it's in my butt i won't be as scared
sorry i couldn't be more help, i'd let you know on friday if i had any side effects but that's probably leaving it a bit too late

Well - the actual shot doesn't hurt, but that may have been just because I couldn't see it The nurse said they almost ALWAYS give this shot in the butt - so you are probably in luck!! But my doctor office opens in an hour - so I'm going to go ahead and call then!

Doesn't sound right to me, I had mine last tues and had none of this, in fact I had no side effects what so ever.
I had mine in my arm though, so glad it wasn't in my bum tbh!

I went to the doctor. She said this wasn't related to the shot - I just have a UTI that popped up at the same time

Good job you checked though, UTIs can get quite serious if they go untreated, at least now you can get that all sorted hope you feel better soon!
