I don't have facebook but even if I did I wouldn't put it on there. I only told family and really close friends as I don't feel it's anyone else's business, plus most people I know would be really bitchy and judgmental about it!
I never announced it really, I just didn't hide it. I'd talk about it, but not say "the child that I am now pregnant with, that I am having with "x"" lol. The people who knew understood what I meant, and eventually people caught on by the time I was around 24 weeks.
I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I haven't even announced it, lol. I was originally going to wait till I was after 12 weeks, then it was 20 weeks... then I came to the conclusion that I don't need to. The majority of the people in my facebook know and the people that have to know, know. It's no one else's business.
I didn't really announce it, I just posted the baby gaga app where it shows how far gone you are and says a little about baby's development That way people could just figure it out themselves. I did that a few days after I found out at 8 weeks, I would have liked to wait until I'm 12 weeks but I couldn't
My mum did post a status about it though saying congratulations to my daughter etc and everyone seemed to find out from that haha.
It's up to you how you want to announce it or if you want to at all, I know I'm still not sure if I'll be posting scan pictures or anything similar as I think it's my business and not the whole of my facebook friends as I hardly even know some of them. I am thinking of deleting everyone I don't know and only keeping close friends and family, that way I can post whatever I like without having to worry.
I've not uploaded anything about my pregnancy, or any pictures on facebook. I just tell the people who I want to know and if other's find out in some way then so be it but I have friends on FB who are also friends with my Ex and other friends who have been causing problems so i am just avoiding it all together.
