I just had gas and air and i'm a right wimp. I point blank refuse epidurals. I cried having my tattoo done and its tiny. I think gas and air and water is good, but everyone is different

I think the most important thing it to have an open mind when I say that I mean try gas and air and water and give the 2 mins see if they start to help before righting the off a shit.

Last time I had a retained placenta and had to be put to sleep to have it removed because the place i gave birth did not do epidurals if the same thing happens again, i the hospital offer an epiduaral and I will REFUSE it and ask to be put to sleep as the recovery is quicker being put to sleep than an epi.

I know i probably sound like every other first time mum, but i only want to use water and gas & air, and chances are i won't get on with gas & air because it makes me feel sick.

Either natural or an epidural, g&s made me thow up something chronic last time and i'm not keen on the idea of pethidine as my sister had it and really regretted it.

I had g&a for first 2 hours in labour, after 2 hours in labour I was 9cm dilated but my waters still hadnt gone so I opted for pethidine which was lovely I managed to doze of between contractions and it made the labour feel shorter than it was as it allowed me to doze of as it makes you drowsy.6 hours later I was still at 9cm and my waters still hadn't gone and they let me have a epidural as soon as I had the epi it took effect within 5-10 mins and was heaven, 30 mins after having epi my son was born I still felt when to push but i didnt feel the ring of fire x
